The DC-615 automatically cuts, slits and creases (using a bar and matrix system) to prevent cracking/feathering of digital print, to produce greetings cards, post cards, CD & DVD covers, business cards and much much more - quickly, accurately and profitably. It is designed around the very specific requirements of digital output with the solution to many of the problems faced when turning colour digital print into finished documents. It handles sheet sizes up to SRA3 and 320gsm.
It has 80 programs in which to store information relating to regular jobs, for fast set up of repeat work. This highly advanced machine adjusts the crease and cut positions to correct for the image drift which can occur from sheet to sheet printed on digital printers/presses. It does this by measuring from a register mark and then adjusting the crease, cut or slit point to ensure each sheet is cut to the image and not sheet edges.
The well tried and tested Duplo suction feed unit ensures reliable, automatic feeding of coated and uncoated stocks, while the operator is released to prepare the next job for the machine. A bar code reader further facilitates automatic job set up, reading a code printed onto the sheets in the crop area during printing and initiating the relevant program.
